     In order to effectively implement the fundamental task of Building Morality and cultivating people, accelerate the pace of teaching reform and improve teaching quality, the College of Science held a teacher Symposium and two student symposiums in the first semester of 2021-2022 on November 26. The teacher symposium was attended by backbone teachers and directors of teaching and research offices. The meeting was presided over by Wang Fengchao, vice president of teaching, Chen Lei, Secretary of the Party committee of the College of science President Li Yigui attended the meeting and had in-depth exchanges with the participating teachers. The Student Symposium was attended by student representatives of various colleges, professional student representatives, professional responsibility professors, director of public course teaching and Research Office, etc. The Public Course Student Symposium and professional student symposium were presided over by Vice President Wang Fengchao and Deputy Secretary Jiang Yanyan respectively.

     The teachers' symposium focused on the reform and development of public basic teaching and professional teaching, curriculum ideological and political work and the development of new teachers, analyzed the problems existing in the teaching process, and put forward reasonable suggestions and schemes. In addition, the college leaders also attached great importance to the issues raised by teachers related to the vital interests of teachers. The atmosphere of the whole symposium was warm, harmonious, pragmatic and sincere.

     At the Student Symposium, the directors of each teaching and research office and professional responsible professors fully listened to the feedback of the student representatives of public basic courses and professional student representatives of the college on the teaching process, and answered and responded to the problems encountered by the students and their suggestions and opinions one by one.

     The symposium has played a good role in further deepening the teaching reform and improving the teaching quality, and laid a good foundation for the high-quality development of teaching at the beginning of the 14th five year plan.
